Joseph Smith died in 1954, he died in tragic circumstances. He was just 15 yrs old. He is buried in the Fairbridge section of the Molong Cemetery.
Joseph or Jimmy as he was sometimes called, committed suicide on the oval at Fairbridge Farm Molong. One has to mourn the loss of such a young life, for a reason that we may never know.
Joseph’s arrival data to the Farm School is also not available, which is strange, apparently he had a brother living in Molong.?
