Ronald Manning passed away in 1960, he was just 20 yrs old. He is buried in the Fairbridge section of the Molong Cementery.
He came to Fairbridge Molong in November 1947. This was the 1st post war party, of 15 boys and 12 girls.
A film was made of there arrival by the Commonwealth Govt.
The ship was the SS Ormonde.
Ronalds brother Derek followed him out to Fairbridge Molong in 1949.
Derek Manning died in 2011.

Came to Fairbridge Molong in 1957 and began immediately as a farm trainee. I was 15 yrs old. I loved the work,but found it very lonely and the bullying was awful. Billy Gelson saved me many times in Orange cottage from beatings. I loved this man. I have had a successful life with a wife who died in 2003. I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Life has been a challenge since Maureen died.. Brian K OF
