Milne Mrs June ( nee Burt )

June Milne of Orange, NSW, passed away on the 21st May 1976. June was aged 41yrs.

June came to Fairbridge Molong in November 1947.

This was the 1st postwar party to arrive at the Farm School. The party had 15 boys and 12 girls. The ship was the SS Ormonde.

Loved wife of John, mother of Susan, Bill,  Beth, Peter and David. Sister of Doreen and Margaret. Daughter in law of Amy and Jack.

A film was made of the parties arrival by the Commonwealth Govt.

About The Phantom

Came to Fairbridge Molong in 1957 and began immediately as a farm trainee. I was 15 yrs old. I loved the work,but found it very lonely and the bullying was awful. Billy Gelson saved me many times in Orange cottage from beatings. I loved this man. I have had a successful life with a wife who died in 2003. I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Life has been a challenge since Maureen died.. Brian K OF
